7 tips to make every newsletter you send successful

If you have a business, then one thing you definitely need is a newsletter list!
I taught Face Yoga, wellness and Yoga for the first 8 years of my business with no social media! But I collected emails from everyone who came to my sessions. That’s how I built up my community and it was (and still is) one of the most effective ways of growing my business.
So, here’s my 7 tips to make every newsletter you send amazing and whether your newsletter goes to two people or two million people these tips still apply:
- Have a great title: the subject line will always determine if people open the email or not!
- Have a strong opening line: your audience need a reason to keep reading so make it interesting and intriguing.
- Have something of service: every newsletter's main objective should be to help and serve the people who are reading it.
- Have a call to action: what do you want your audience to do after they have read the newsletter? Make that clear in your newsletter.
- Have a way to sign off: you are in essence writing a letter to your audience! So sign off in a way which feels authentic to you.
- Have at least 1 image: ideally not high res as this may not download on some people's screens but make it a good quality and relevant photo.
- Have a P.S. at the end: this is really helpful for people who just scroll to the end of a newsletter as it allows them to know the one key takeaway from your newsletter. It is also a helpful summary or reminder of a call to action for anyone who has read it all!
